TR/ST

Shares the track "Colossal" & starts European tour with sold-out shows

New album 'The Destroyer -1' out 19th April via Grouch/House Arrest,

'The Destroyer - 2' LP out this November

Canadian electronic artist TR/ST has shared the new single “Colossal”, the fourth instalment and final single from his imminent new LP The Destroyer - 1, following "Grouch", "Unbleached"

and "Gone".

The song was co-written & co-produced by TR/ST's frequent collaborator Maya Postepski.

The new track lands ahead of TR/ST starting a full European tour, kicking off with a sold out show at London's The Steel Yard.

When talking about the track Robert Alfons says,

“Such a special collab with Maya, we wrote it together while in different parts of the world. This song was written during long walks I would take in the middle of the night around the hills in my neighborhood, watching the mist rise as the sun came up.”

Maya Postepski adds,

“I was coming home on the train with my music on random when a TR/ST song came on from the first album we made, I started crying,

it brought back so many memories.

I sent Robert the sketches for ‘Colossal’ that night. He wrote back and we rekindled our relationship, so I find it deeply emotional every time I hear it. Had I not taken the chance and sent it who knows if we would be working together again.

Overcoming fear and being brave have become the focus

of my work and this song underlines that — if one is willing to look into

the lion’s mouth the rewards can be astounding.”

TR/ST originally announced 'The Destroyer -1' on Billboard, along with first single "Gone", a shimmering burst of classic 80s electronic pop. Releasing in two parts, 'Destroyer - 1' and 'Destroyer - 2', the first LP will be released 19th April with the second 8 track instalment coming

in November 2019 both via House Arrest. Together, the 'The Destroyer' LPs are one piece but will be distributed as two stand-alone albums, different sides of the same coin.

'The Destroyer' will be TR/ST's much anticipated third album. It follows the two previous records, 2012's self-titled release and 2014's 'Joyland'.

As mentioned above, TR/ST is heading over here for a European tour from the 9th April, the start of a two month run straight through to Russia, Canada and the States.

On announcement the New York, London and Paris shows sold out, and the subsequently upgraded London 9th April show at The Steel Yard has sold out a second time in addition

to LA, Berlin, Moscow, Copenhagen and Amsterdam shows.
