Paola Delfin
Visual artist from Mexico City whose work is mainly inspired by illustration and has neo-contemporary street art influences.
The topic she likes to explore is closely related to feminine aesthetics and sensibility, as seen in its capacity of changing and incredible contrasts.
Trying to create works that have an interesting aesthetic, exploring how beautiful can become the feminine figure and fragility and yet be something with force and life itself.
Using everyday images her goal in particular is turning them extraordinary, via meticulous illustration techniques using almost obsessive perfection and combined with themes, images and colors very current and novel trying to portray the beauty of her generation through a fresh yet
reflective message.
"My creative process, mostly, my illustrations and paintings start with a word or phrase that I consider ironic, funny, strong, thoughtful; then I try to give that phrase or concept, a face and life itself, through a person i see on the street, from a photograph in particular, pictures speak for themselves. The
materials I use are the ones I find in front of me, I love a simple drawing on a napkin with a pen, or a huge wall with aerosols, inks and vibrant colors. "
Her most recent production is made mostly with acrylics and ink on paper, canvas and some walls.
She has participated in several exhibitions, the first of them with a group (Cartel Collective), in national and international auctions, has intervened several spaces in Mexico City and Playa del Carmen.
Her intention is to reach audiences everywhere possible, with an art that is not exclusive, "... I think more art is needed everywhere, giving a flat wall life, colors and feelings."
Currently exhibited 22 paintings in the "Common People" space in Mexico City under the title "Metamorphosis", series that arises from a process of transformation and internal changes.
BIZZARRE: What's your name and why?
Paola: Paola Delfin ... i had nothing to do with it but I like part of the dolphin, is the icing on the cake ...
B: How will you conquer the world?
P: With a marker and a piece of paper :)
B: How are you going to improve the world?
P: Following my dreams, and actually making them come true one by one, I think when you achieve that you are filled with good energy, and this is important in a world where dreams are lost for other things; spreading positive energy to everyone around me, thanking and sharing the best of me everyday

B: Why you?
P: I've been super lucky, actually I think we all have that mission.
B: What inspires you?
P: Life! I think all that is around me, the simple fact of knowing that I can create something that can capture someone's view, everything is inspiring if you know keep your eyes wide open.
B: What if you disappear?
P: Probably nothing serious ... but if that happens I'm leaving my small footprints everywhere I can with my drawings.
B: Blue, yellow, black, green ... what do you see?
P: A giant painting full of these and more colors ... what else could i see :)
B: How do you see yourself in six months and where?
P: Traveling, my plan Berlin, doing what I love, painting and drawing, finding new spaces in which to create and fill up with new ideas.
B: What is the question you do to yourself?

Artista Visual originaria de la Ciudad de Mexico cuya obra esta inspirada principalmente en la ilustración y tiene influencias del street art neo-contemporeneo.
El tema que le gusta explorar esta muy relacionado con la estética y la sensibilidad femenina , ya que ve en esta una capacidad de cambios y contrastes increíbles.
Tratando de crear obras que tengan una estética interesante, explorando lo hermosa que puede llegar a ser la figura y la fragilidad femenina y a su vez ser algo que tenga fuerza
y vida propia.
Haciendo uso de imágenes cotidianas su objetivo particular es convertirlas en imágenes extraordinarias, por medio del meticuloso uso de técnicas de ilustración casi obsesiva en
su perfección y combinarlas con temas, imágenes y colores muy vigentes y novedosos tratando de retratar la estética de su generación a través de un mensaje fresco y a la vez
reflexivo.
"Mi proceso creativo, en su mayoria, mis ilustraciones y cuadros, comienzan desde una palabra o una frase que yo considere irónica, divertida, fuerte, reflexiva, despues
trato de darle a esa frase o concepto, vida y cara propia, a traves de una persona que vea en la calle, de una fotografia en particular, imagenes que te hablan por si mismas; los
materiales que utilizo son los que me encuentre enfrente, me encanta un simple dibujo en servilleta y pluma, o en una pared enorme con aerosoles, tintas y colores llenos de vida."
Su mas reciente producción en su mayoría esta hecha con acrílicos y tintas sobre papel, lienzo y algunas paredes.
Ha participado en varias exposiciones las primeras fueron con un colectivo (Cartel Collective), en subastas nacionales e internacionales, ha intervenido varios espacios en México D.F. y Playa del Carmen.
Su intención es llegar a todos los lugares y audiencias posibles, con un arte que no es excluyente, "...creo que se necesita mas arte en todos lados, darle a una pared plana , vida, colores y sentimientos."
Actualmente Expone 22 cuadros en el espacio "Common People" de la Ciudad de Mexico bajo el titulo
" Metamorphosis", serie que surge de un proceso de transformación y cambios internos.
BIZZARRE: ¿Cómo te llamas y por qué?
Paola: Paola Delfín no tuve nada que ver en eso pero me gusta, la parte del delfín… la cereza del pastel
B:¿Cómo vas a conquistar el mundo?
P: Con un plumón y un pedazo de papel :)
B: ¿Cómo vas a mejorar el mundo?
P: Siguiendo mis sueños, y haciéndolos realidad uno por uno, creo que cuando logras eso te llenas de buena energía, y pienso que esto es importante en un mundo donde los sueños luego se pierden por otras cosas, contagiar energía positiva a los que te rodean, agradeciendo y compartiendo lo mejor de mi cada día.
B:¿Por qué tu?
P: Por que he sido súper afortunada, en realidad creo que TODOS tenemos esa misión.
B:¿Qué es lo que te inspira?
P: La vida! Creo que todo lo que esta alrededor de mi, el simple hecho de saber que puedo crear algo que pueda llegar a capturar un momento la vista de alguien, todo es inspirador si sabes tener los ojos bien abiertos.
B:¿Qué pasará si desapareces?
P: Probablemente nada grave… pero por si eso pasa estoy dejando pequeñas huellas de mi en todos lados que me sea posible con mis dibujos.
B: Azul, amarillo, negro, verde...¿qué es lo que ves?
P: Una pintura gigante llena de esos y mas colores… que mas podría ver :)
B: ¿Cómo te ves en seis meses y dónde?
P: Viajando, mi plan Berlin, haciendo lo que mas amo, pintando y dibujando, buscando nuevos espacios donde crear y llenarme de nuevas ideas.
B: ¿Cual es la pregunta que te haces a ti misma?
P: Uff… Que sorpresas y planes tiene para mi la vida?
