LIFE IS BETTER BLONDE

Enigmatic Melbourne producer Life Is Better Blonde release his new single with the arrival of ‘My God Is Not Going To Like You’ on 15th March.

‘My God Is Not Going To Like You’ is taken from his forthcoming EP due this summer and was created at LIBB’s home studio, heavily featuring upright piano, 90’s synths and a lumbering percussive groove. Mixed and mastered by Andrei Eremin, it is the second coming-together between LIBB and the Grammy nominated producer.

Drawn to down tempo, lumbering kind of grooves, Life is Better Blonde’s music is inspired by sonic accidents, broken sounding things and old voice memos. His recent track, ‘Strange Organism’ is the first encounter between Life is Better Blonde and producer Andrei Eremin, whose previous credits include working with Grammy nominated Hiatus Kaiote and Chet Faker, who mixed and mastered Strange Organism.

Life is Better Blonde is the result of lost and discovered voice memos, late night musings and discarded production scraps. Taking cues from the likes of Flying Lotus, James Blake and Arthur Russell, the music is both introverted and deeply personal, while displaying a grit common to glitch and electronica.

Releasing his debut EP ‘Space + Tyres’ in 2017 through Majestic Casual, Life is Better Blonde created instant attention with airplay on BBC 1 XTRA and Triple J. The 5-track EP also featured Triple J Award-winning song, ‘Mine’.
