Jófríður Ákadóttir (Samaris, Pascal Pinon, Gangly) - releases her debut solo full length album Brazil.

JFDR, can, quite legitimately be called one of the most prolific and busiest singers to emanate from Iceland. Jófriður is truly a woman of great talent and unending amounts of creative energy.

This new album is Co-produced by legendary multi-instrumentalist Shazad Ismaily (Lou Reed, Tom Waits), recorded in New York City in 2016 and released through her own label White Sun Records.

The first taste of this mesmerizing album came visually through a serie of stunning video clips for the singles, White Sun, Airborne and Wires, showing us her odic atmosphere and her love for the nature.

Brazil sees a blend of cyclical guitar parts, soft minimal soundscapes, and poetic wanderings of a journey that ends where it began.

Drawing from classical, folk, and electronic backgrounds, JFDR amalgamates

the sounds of changing seasons, her voice a current that moves through rough

seas to smooth waters.

But perhaps JFDR shines the most in her capacity as a wordsmith.
