FADE AWAAYS

Toronto-based Fade Awaays share their new single "As They Do"

After getting started in the Toronto club scene, Fade Awaays have been relentlessly gigging throughout the city and beyond, setting out on multiple tours across Canada.

The band draws inspiration from everything from The Ramones to Mac Demarco.

Their new single "As They Do" takes influence from 90s britpop and psychedelia while maintaining a pop sensibility.

The group is comprised of Reid MacMaster (guitar), Duncan Briggs (bass), Sean Hackl (guitar), and Owen Wolff (drums). The group has a democratic approach to making music: each member contributes to lead vocals and songwriting.

“We got into this to play live” says Reid McMaster. “Growing up primarily in the suburbs, playing live was the opportunity for us to let it all out and share that feeling with those in the audience”. “We want to make great records and play even better shows, that’s it” the band agreed.

The band has appeared at Canadian music festivals such as CMW, NXNE, Trapdoor Fest, and Indie Week. They have played alongside international acts such as Wolf Alice, Public Access TV, Hot Flash Heat Wave, The Gooch Palms, and The Sherlocks.
