EQUAL ECHO
New soul-pop duo EQUAL ECHO unveil 4-track EP ‘Dynamite’.
Equal Echo, the new project of producer / DJ Hector Plimmer and singer Alexa Harley, are poised to release their new EP with the arrival of ‘Dynamite’ this summer.
Already acclaimed in their own right with their own projects, the electronic soul tinged 4-track EP reveals the multi-facetted duo in perfect union and brought about the birth of Equal Echo.
Dynamite hints at the past work of both artists whilst retaining an altogether fresh and unique outlook. Taking Hector's flair with synthesizers and rich instrumentation, Alexa's soulful and composed vocal delivery and a shared love of jazz, soul, house and pop soundscapes,
the band impress with an expansive, emotive sound.
For the last year and a half Harley & Hector have been meeting two days a week, almost every week, creating music that shares an equal input of musical ideas from one another. The amalgamation of styles & musical backgrounds blend together to make a sound unlike
either Harley or Hector produce alone, whilst still retaining the best attributes from both.
Not only are they musical partners, they are also best friends.
Two glistening EPs (mixed and mastered by Albert's Favourites Dave Koor) are the product of 2 years of studio collaboration and many more of friendship. Over the last two years the dynamic live show has been previewed at Archspace, Ghost Notes with their premier festival
appearances at Brainchild and Glastonbury Festivals.
They have also performed at Tate Modern and supported Amp Fiddler & Tony Allen at the Jazz Café.
Alexa Harley’s incredible vocals has already seen her collaborate with artists like Tom Misch, Hybrid Minds & Mt Wolf with streaming well in the millions. Stand out tracks include
Hector Plimmer is an exciting London-based beatmaker making his own unique style of atmospheric, hypnotically rhythmic music. His debut record Sunshine was released last
