Following the success of their 2016 debut EP Homespun and Tender, Chymes return to reel

Comprised of Kiersten Nyman and Cameron Taylor, Chymes effortlessly

and instinctively draw their audience into their own intimate world.

Shade is a romantic love song that explores the vulnerability we feel when becoming intimate

with someone.

Airy, light and flirty, the track perfectly blends male and female vocals through intricate layers

on intertwining synth lines.

The song intimately investigates that that euphoric moment of falling in love, and the initial

fear of surrender that comes with it. The story progresses as the character decides to commit

to the fall and the blur of it all, letting go and allowing themselves to love.

The pair met working on another project and soon came to realise their writing styles and

voices complimented each other and shared a connective love for similar styles of music. Experimenting with their contrastingly dark lyrics and innocent sounds, their flirty and haunting debut EP   'Grow' was born from their bedroom project.

Their flirtatious beats and haunting lyrics have captured a global audience

as their unique brand of electro pop has seen over 1 million streams collectively on Spotify

and Apple Music.
