Calpurnia, Finn Wolfhard’s group, better known as one of the most famous young actor of Hollywood thanks to his role as Mike Wheeler in the Netflix hit series "Stranger Things" , reveal today the video accompanying "Wasting Time" track, taken from first EP Scout. 

The creator of the video is Martin MacPherson, an award-winning animator who, until then, worked on each and every Calpurnia videos and created the animation of My Dead Dad’s Porno Tapes documentary. He recently collaborated with Washed Out and Flying Lotus. 

 

About the video, MacPherson states:

 

« Some songs have a way of evoking strong memories coming from your past. Good or bad memories, that could also be strange ones. I wanted this video to depict the story of a civilisation frozen in time that is brought back to life thanks to music, carrying the good and bad memories of their past. I think it might be hazardous to live in the past, at some point we have to move on. I choose to show this by drawing spaceships and odd monsters and Calpurnia have been really cool to let me do this. Regarding the EP artwork, I was inspired by Jason Bartel and wanted to continue this aesthetic as a post-apocalyptic version of the world, just like in City-Boy and Greyhound. »
