BDRMM

Hull slacker-shoegaze quintent BDRMM release dreamy new single Heaven.

Crafting relatable lo-fi gems born of vocalist Ryan Smith’s astute introspection, bdrmm hit the mark again, starting their 2019 with twinkling slacker-pop cut Heaven.

The Hull 5-piece initially cut their teeth across Northern venues, before releasing opening two singles, the twin-paced kare, sprawling anti-epic the way i want.

Those releases caught the attention of numerous tastemakers in MTV, Radio 1 and more, as well as boutique London label Permanent Creeps, who are releasing their second track with the band. Their first collaboration was on C.U., a slice of anxious shoegaze that earned plays from BBC 6Music’s Steve Lamacq and a spot on Spotify’sHot New Bands playlist.

There’s a simple, jaded bittersweet meaning behind the song
“Heaven is for everyone who deserves an apology, but knows they won’t get it” explains Ryan.

Channelling these raw, numb feelings into a perfect cocktail of synth soaked Beach House, jangly slackers DIIV and otherworldly shoe-gazers Slowdive, the group combine a knack for weaving dreamy sonic textures and sentimental personal story-telling together perfectly.

Bdrmm have notched up a few enviable achievements. National radio play has come from BBC Radio 1 and Amazing Radio, and shows up and down the country with the likes of

Trudy & The Romance, Her’s, FEHM and Horsey, including a capacity set during Tramlines festival, have established the quintet as exciting indie

up-and-comers.

Ditching Ryan’s early phone recordings and exploring a more meaningful sound, bdrmm have enlisted the help of producer , Alex Greaves (Bo Ningen, The Orielles, Heavy Lungs)

to bring their self-styled ‘gross dreamy noise’ to life.

Joining lead singer and guitarist Ryan Smith in the line-up is brother Jordan Smith (Bass),

Joe Vickers (Guitar), Daniel Hull (Synth & Backing Vocals) and Luke Irvin (Drums).

Heaven was produced by Alex Greaves at The Nave, and is out on March 7th via

Permanent Creeps.
